The Jayo Foundation is a member of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs. The Jayo Invitational is a beach event featuring the Sinjin Smith Kids Clinic, the Red & Blue Celebrity-Pro-Am Corporate Challenge, Surf Camp, and the Art At The Beach art auction. It is a best-of-brand event celebrating the California Lifestyle promoting health and wellness that combines the world of sports, wellness, art and music all to benefit the youth of Los Angeles.
Proceeds from the Jayo Invitational are allocated to public schools and charitable organizations that work to aid children in the advancement of health and education.
• To create a philanthropic outlet for professional beach Volleyball.
• To encourage the fostering of community and the empowerment of children to seek higher education.
• To raise financial support for worthy charitable causes which improve the lives of children in the areas of health and education.
The Jayo Foundation was founded by actor and former professional beach volleyball player Jason Olive in 2002.
Jason, qualified for the Manhattan Beach Open at 18 years old and was a 2x All-American volleyball player at the University of Hawai'i. While there he was the recipient of the inaugural Governor's Award for Academic Excellence as well as the university top award for academics, athletics and community service the ack Bonham Award. While at UH Jason lead the university to it's first ever appearance in the NCAA Final Four. Along with his team, he has also won 6 Manhattan Beach Six Man Championships.
Since its innaugural event in New York City, the Jayo Invitational has welcomed over 2,000 children to our Sinjin Smith kids clinic and "Champion Mindset" motivational meet and greet with Olympic Gold Medalists and World Champions.
In 2013 we we were honored to have USA Volleyball recognize the event and have the the entire team present to take part in exhibitions and the Sinjin Smith Kids Clinic. In 2019 we will be working alongside the pro tour's charitable division, AVP First, to expand on our mission.
